Your Life, focused: The 50 Photo Legacy Project

Most people don’t struggle with wanting to tell their story… they struggle with where to begin.

I see it all the time. Thousands of photos. So many memories. Overwhelm sets in and now the project stalls.

That's why I love working with a simple idea: just 50 photos. Not all of your photos. Just the moments that mattered most.

When you narrow it down, something shifts. The overwhelm fades, and suddenly the story becomes clearer.

Why 50 Photos Works

The 50-Photo Legacy Project is tailored for the realities of a busy life.

This approach isn’t about leaving things out, it’s about focusing on what truly shaped you.

Instead of organizing everything, we look at the key chapters of your life, pull in meaningful

moments, family, work, travel, everyday life, and add just a few sentences to bring each photo to

life.

That’s it.

Each photo becomes a memory marker and each caption becomes a thread in your story.

And instead of an unfinished project sitting on your to-do list, you actually complete something

meaningful.

Turn Your Story Into a Finished Photo Book

One of the things I love most about this process is that it doesn’t just live on your computer.

It can become something real. Something you can hold, flip through, and share with the people

you love.

I use a beautifully designed 12x12 Life Story Photo Book template from LIFEazine that

makes this part easy. You’re not starting from scratch. You are simply placing your photos and

words into a clean, guided layout.

Here’s an example of what your finished book could look like: (it will be a physical book)

It’s simple, but it feels like something you’d actually want to pass down.

Giving Your Photos a Voice

A photo captures a moment. But the story is what makes it matter.

If you’ve ever looked at an old photo and thought, “I wish I knew more about this…” you

already understand why this matters. The good news is, you don’t need to be a writer.

I guide my clients with a simple approach, who was there, where you were, one small detail you

remember, and why it still matters.

Just a few sentences.

For example…

Instead of:

1964 family vacation to Amsterdam Netherlands.

You might say:

Context: Tivoli, Italy (1964)

Caption: Visiting Hadrian's Villa as a child peaked my interest in history and travel. My family loved to travel together and dad made every experience an adventure.

Same photo. Completely different feeling.

If You’d Rather Not Do This Alone

Some people love the idea of creating their own book.

Others would rather just share their memories and have someone else bring it all together.

If that’s you, I offer a Done-for-You option where I guide you through the process and design the

book for you using this same 50-photo framework.

You don’t have to figure it out on your own.

If you’re curious what this could look like for your story, we can start with a simple

conversation.

One Last Thought

A meaningful life story starts small. There is no need to make it complicated.

50 photos.

A few sentences each.

A story your family will actually understand and treasure.
